Bring your Webster Groves home to life after dark.
Webster Groves is one of our favorite communities to work in. The tree-lined streets, the architectural variety, the walkable downtown — every property tells a different story, and our job is to light each home in a way that brings that story out after sunset.
Webster Groves has unusual roots for a St. Louis suburb. It started as five separate communities — Webster, Old Orchard, Webster Park, Tuxedo Park, and Selma — that grew up along adjacent railroad lines and merged in 1896. That history is still visible today. The Central Webster Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the city’s neighborhoods still carry the names and character of those original communities. You’ll find Queen Anne homes around Tuxedo Park, American Foursquares and Shingle-style houses in Webster Park, and traditional brick homes throughout Old Webster.
What we love about lighting Webster Groves is that the mature trees and pedestrian-friendly streets mean lighting genuinely changes how a home is experienced — by the owner, by visitors, by neighbors walking by. Our designs work on all three audiences. We highlight architectural detail without overwhelming the home, accent the trees and gardens that make Webster so beautiful, and make pathways safe without turning a front yard into a runway.
Whether you’re in Old Webster, Webster Park, Tuxedo Park, Old Orchard, or anywhere along Lockwood or Elm, we’d love to put together a design that fits your home and your block.
Here’s what we design and install across the area:
Webster Groves' historic Victorians, craftsman bungalows, and updated traditionals each call for distinct accent approaches — every home is a custom design.
Mature front gardens and historic walks integrate naturally with pathway lighting designed to feel period-appropriate.
Webster Groves' historic-district aesthetic supports particularly elegant traditional holiday designs with strong annual demand.
Webster Groves is a historic-character market where lighting design must respect the original architectural language of the home. Heavy modern installations look out of place on a craftsman or Victorian; designs should feel period-appropriate even when using current technology. Historic district guidelines may apply on certain streets. Strong year-over- year repeat-customer base in this market.
Webster's century-old neighborhoods deserve lighting that respects their character. We use warm color temperatures (2700K) for period homes, subtle fixture placements that don't compete with the architecture, and low-profile path lighting that doesn't introduce modern elements into historic streetscapes.
Webster Groves has some of the most beautiful tree-canopied streets in the region. We design around that canopy — moonlighting from high in mature oaks, uplighting on flowering trees, and accent lighting that brings out garden beds without flooding them.
Webster's walkability means your lighting is seen by neighbors strolling by, not just passing drivers. We design front-yard lighting that looks intentional and balanced from every angle — and that doesn't blast pedestrians with glare from poorly-aimed fixtures.
Webster's restaurant and retail districts have set a high bar for bistro lighting and patio ambiance. For homeowners who want to bring that same atmosphere home, we install commercial-grade string lighting across backyards, decks, and pergolas — built to last through St. Louis winters.
Why Webster Groves homeowners pick us for their century-old streets and tight-knit neighborhoods
Webster, Old Orchard, Webster Park, Tuxedo Park, Selma — five railroad-era communities that merged in 1896. Each has its own character. Our designs respect those original neighborhood lines, using the architectural language each one developed.
Webster's National Register district has period rules and aesthetic expectations. We pick warm 2700K color temperatures, low-profile fixtures, and placement strategies that complement period homes rather than imposing modern lighting onto them.
Webster's bistro and restaurant district sets a high bar for outdoor patio lighting. Homeowners who want that same intimate ambiance get commercial-grade strings from us — the kind that hold up through St. Louis winters, not consumer kits that sag after one season.
Webster's tree-lined streets are part of why people choose to live here. Our moonlighting fixtures sit high in mature oaks to wash soft light over the ground — the most natural-looking lighting effect possible — rather than ground-based uplights that fight the canopy.
Webster Groves is one of the most walkable suburbs in the metro. We design front-yard lighting that looks right from sidewalk view — no glare in pedestrians' eyes, no fixtures pointed at the street, no light spilling onto neighbors.

The work was fairly priced and the materials and workmanship were excellent. We actually rehired them again for even more lighting features.Posted on Google Bradley FisherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hired Landscape Lighting Guys to help with my home lighting system, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I first met Matt while he was preparing a proposal for a large lighting project in our subdivision’s common areas. He took the time to meet with us multiple times, answer questions, and walk through the details of the project. During those meetings, I also had him take a look at my home’s landscape lighting system. Over the years, I had several different companies work on my lighting, and after some recent landscaping work, some wires were cut and pulled out, and fixtures were pulled out of their proper location. My system needed to be reset and repaired. Matt provided a beyond fair and detailed proposal, and his crew got right to work. What impressed me most was that they weren’t interested in taking shortcuts. Tyler and George explained that they could simply reconnect some of the old wiring, but they weren’t comfortable doing that because they couldn’t guarantee the long-term results. Instead, they took the time to trace the system, replace wiring where needed, and correct several issues left behind from previous installations. It was obvious they cared about doing the job correctly rather than just getting it done. The end result is actually better than what I had before. A few simple adjustments to fixture placement and aiming made a huge difference in how the house and landscaping are illuminated at night. The attention to detail was outstanding. Tyler and George were also incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves, polished the fixtures, answered questions, and treated my property like it was their own. That level of service is hard to find these days. I’m also excited that Matt offers maintenance and service plans. One of the biggest challenges with landscape lighting is finding someone who understands your system and can maintain it properly over time. It’s reassuring to know I now have a trusted company that can keep everything looking great for years to come. If you’re looking for a company that values quality, professionalism, and long-term customer relationships, I highly recommend Matt, Tyler, George, and the entire team at Landscape Lighting Guys.Posted on Google Jeff BerzonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We met Matt many years ago when his business was young. His professionalism and dedications were matched by his crew. Years later we used his Company again, after we moved. We were just as impressed. Their suggestions, especially the Bistro Lights over the patio, were spot on. Another great job, And another round of compliments from our neighbors!Posted on Google Sue AckleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did quite a bit of talking with several lighting companies in the beginning. Some didn’t show up for an appointment, one didn’t call back when I asked to make some changes to the bid, so I looked for someone who was honest, had integrity, and listened to what I wanted, but had great ideas as well. The Lighten guys fit the bill perfectly. My house lighten was done in the winter, but I knew I would like to add to it as soon as my garden was in full bloom. Matt came out today and again I was so pleased with his ideas! It’s going to be perfect! Thanks bunches Matt! They performed high quality work that they stand behind. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Julie BuckTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team originally designed and installed our landscape lights in 2021. We were thrilled with his expertise on placement of the lights. The end result turned out great. We still get compliments on our lighting. My favorite part is the yearly check and fix of any issues. His team cleans, checks and repairs lights, wires or any other issue each year. Hassle free for us. Highly recommend this company.Posted on Google Ben LloydTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Huge shout out for the entire team at LLG. I can't recommend them enough. The estimating was simple and clear, pricing was fair and competitive.. and I was blown away with the finished product! Whenever my wife comes home with the kids after baseball practice, she always makes the comment how safe she feels and how lit up our house looks! LLG completely changed the dynamic of my home. THANK YOU!!Posted on Google David KannapelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and the team couldn't have been better to work with. They were able to get us quoted, installed, and supported very quickly and professionally. In addition to the hardware and lights looking great, the professionalism has been above and beyond. Would highly recommend!Posted on Google Timothy RohlmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our lights were installed at least 10 years ago and worked fine except we had some trees removed and some were damaged. Those 3 were replaced and all the others (32) were serviced, cleaned and new bulbs. Excellent work thank you.Posted on Google Coco BloomfieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Prompt, excellent service! So nice to deal with. Yes. We’ve designed lighting for homes in the Central Webster Historic District and the historic Tuxedo Park and Webster Park neighborhoods. We’re familiar with period-appropriate fixture choices.
Absolutely — coordinating front and back is one of the most cost-efficient ways to design lighting. A single visit lets us run wiring efficiently and design the whole property as a coherent experience.
Carefully. We use professional-grade tree-mounting hardware and place fixtures so they don’t damage bark
or interfere with tree growth. Moonlighting from high in older trees is one of our specialties.
