Do you carry general liability and workers' compensation?

Yes — both. Certificates can be requested by emailing info@llguys.com.

How long have you been in the professional landscape lighting industry?

Our team has been crafting commercial and residential landscape lighting systems since 2008. After years in the broader landscaping industry, we shifted our focus entirely to lighting in 2018.

What do you do during the off-season?

From October 1 through February 1, we focus on Christmas light installation through our sister company, Santa’s Elves Holiday Lighting & Decor. Landscape lighting clients are still served year-round, though new projects may face some delays during peak holiday season.

Do you offer any warranties on your services or fixtures?

Yes. Every new installation includes 1 year of free service (parts and labor). Brass fixtures, bulbs, and transformers are backed by a lifetime replacement warranty. Beyond the first year, a capped $215 flat-rate fee covers the trip and labor.

What kind of lighting fixtures do you install?

Standard fixtures are high-quality brass with a lifetime warranty. Powder-coated black aluminum fixtures are also available with a 10-year warranty.

Do you require a minimum order?

Yes — the minimum project value for new installations is $650. Whether it’s a single spotlight or a full-property design, we’ll guide you to the right approach.

What do I need to get started with a quote?

Nothing specific is required, but a rough budget helps us design a system that fits your needs. We focus on smart, value-driven solutions and won’t oversell.

Will my landscape lighting system be custom-designed for my property?

Yes. Every design is personalized to your property’s architecture, layout, and specific needs — no cookie-cutter templates.

Do you offer service calls?

Yes. The service call fee is $215 (a $125 trip charge plus the first hour of labor). Additional time is billed at $90 per staff hour. Most issues are diagnosed and fixed on the spot if time and budget allow.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. There is a 5% discount for military personnel, first responders, and healthcare workers (mention before the final invoice). Seasonal promotions are also available periodically.

Do you offer subdivision discount pricing?

Yes — a 10% subdivision discount when 5 or more homes in the same neighborhood book installations together.

What if I'm not happy with the fixtures after installation?

There is a 100% buyback guarantee on all stocked fixtures within the first 30 days, provided we’ve been given a chance to correct the issue. The system is removed and you are fully refunded. Custom special-order fixtures are excluded.

Are bright white LEDs the only white LEDs you carry?

No. We carry a diverse range of outdoor LEDs, including 2700K warm white bulbs (similar to traditional incandescent) and color-changing fixtures for holidays and events.

Can I choose the color?

Yes. We help clients pick the color temperature that matches their aesthetic vision. Most popular options are 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K. A full tutorial is provided after installation for color-changing systems.

Is the lighting system set up on a timer?

Yes. All transformers include a timer. Dusk-to-dawn photocells are recommended, but mechanical, digital, and Wi-Fi timers are also available.

Can I set the lights to turn off at a specific time?

Yes. You provide your preferred on/off times and we program the timer accordingly.

Do I need to be home during installation?

No. As long as we have access to a working outdoor electrical outlet, the installation can be completed without you present.

How do you estimate the cost of each job?

Every plan begins with a detailed walkthrough. We evaluate your property’s unique features and create a design that balances beauty, function, and efficiency. Experience and creativity allow us to light even the most challenging spaces.

When is payment due?

Once the estimate is approved, 50% is due as a down payment to cover materials. The remaining 50% is due only when the project is completed and you are fully satisfied.

When should I reach out to schedule a quote?

Quotes can be requested any time. Spring, summer, and early fall are the busiest seasons. October 1 through February 1 is dedicated to holiday lighting, which may delay new projects.

When is the ideal time to book my holiday lights with Santa’s Elves?
