Landscape Lighting in Fenton, Missouri

Bring your Fenton home to life after dark.

Why we love serving Fenton

Fenton has some of the deepest roots in our service area. The city was founded in 1818 by William Lindsey Long, who named it after his Welsh grandmother, Elizabeth Fenton Bennett. Olde Towne Fenton — the historic core of the city — still consists of just eight square blocks, which means a walking tour of Fenton’s earliest history is genuinely doable. The city straddles the Meramec River, with portions in both St. Louis County and Jefferson County.

Bridges are a big part of Fenton’s history. The first bridge across the Meramec was built in 1854; the current iteration is the fourth bridge to span the river at Fenton. Gravois Road was originally Fenton’s main street, but with the construction of the 1925 bridge, the road was re-routed around Olde Towne — gradually allowing the city to expand beyond its original eight-block area. Today’s Fenton is a mix of that preserved historic core, established postwar neighborhoods, and newer commercial development along Gravois Bluffs.

What makes Fenton a great landscape-lighting market is the architectural diversity. Within the city you’ll find 19th-century historic homes near the original townsite, established 1950s-70s suburban homes, and newer construction in areas like Gravois Bluffs. The Swantner House (built around 1906) anchors the Fenton Historical Society. The oldest house in the original eight blocks of Old Fenton sits at the corner of Main and Ferry. An even older log cabin (owned by the Chott family) is within current city limits.

Whether you’re in Olde Towne Fenton, near the Gravois Bluffs commercial corridor, in an established postwar neighborhood, or anywhere along the Meramec River corridor, we’d love to walk your property and design something custom.

Local Considerations:

Fenton’s mixed-use character means lighting projects often span both residential and commercial categories — a single client may own a home and a business in the same city. Residential subdivisions are largely newer builds with consistent architectural character; commercial work runs from small storefronts to corporate parks. Project cycles tend to be more even year-round than purely residential markets.

Our approach

Designed for Fenton

01

Designing for Olde Towne Fenton and historic architecture

Olde Towne Fenton has homes dating back to the city's 1818 founding. These historic properties deserve lighting that respects their character — warm color temperatures, low-profile fixtures, and placement strategies that complement period architecture rather than fight it.

02

Working with Fenton's 1950s-70s established neighborhoods

Outside Olde Towne, most Fenton homes are from the postwar suburban boom. Ranches, split-levels, and traditional 2-stories on established lots. We design with the era in mind — horizontal accent lighting for ranches, warm-tone façade lighting for brick traditionals, and mature-tree work that uses the established landscaping.

03

Meramec River corridor properties

Many Fenton homes sit near or above the Meramec River corridor. We design with the river-adjacent character in mind — fixtures rated for higher humidity, placements that respect natural views, and lighting effects that complement the natural surroundings.

04

Cross-county service (St. Louis + Jefferson)

Fenton straddles two counties. We serve the entire city — St. Louis County portions north of the river and Jefferson County portions to the south — with the same quality standards and the same warranty coverage.

We design for 1950s-70s postwar neighborhoods
