Bring your Arnold home to life after dark.
Arnold is the largest city in Jefferson County and one of the most family-friendly markets in our service area. About 21,000 residents, situated right at the confluence of the Meramec and Mississippi Rivers, and connected to downtown St. Louis by just 18 miles of Interstate 55. The city has the kind of approachable, established suburban character that’s increasingly hard to find — comfortable homes, generous parks, strong schools, and the rolling terrain of northwest Jefferson County.
Arnold’s pioneer heritage runs deeper than most people realize. The area was first settled in 1774 by John Hildebrand, a German immigrant who built the Meramec Settlement fort near Saline Creek — making him generally regarded as Jefferson County’s first European settler. In 1776, French surveyor Jean Baptiste Gamache built a ferry across the Meramec River where Telegraph Road crosses today at Arnold’s Flamm Park. The city itself was incorporated in 1972, and most of its housing stock dates to the 1960s and 70s suburban boom that followed.
What makes Arnold a great landscape-lighting market is the combination of established neighborhoods and accessible home prices. Median home values in Arnold are significantly lower than further-north St. Louis County suburbs, which means homeowners often have more discretionary budget for property improvements like landscape lighting. The city has a strong recreational character — Arnold City Park (68 acres with an 8-acre fishing lake), Strawberry Creek Nature Reserve (118 acres of protected forest), Teszars Woods Conservation Area along the Meramec, and a 140-acre former golf course transformed into trails and parkland.
Whether you’re in an established 1970s subdivision off Highway 141, near Arnold City Park, along Telegraph Road, or in newer construction further from the river, we’d love to walk your property and design something that fits your home and your budget.
Here’s what we design and install across the area:
Pathway runs do real safety work on the sloped, deeper lots common throughout Arnold.
Wide ranch facades reward a clean uplight-and-wash pattern across the front elevation.
Family-heavy neighborhoods drive heavy November- through-January demand.
Arnold’s housing stock skews older than most West County markets, with a heavier mix of single-story ranches and split-levels alongside the newer subdivision builds. Lot grades vary significantly, especially closer to the river — designs here often need careful fixture placement to handle elevation changes and avoid glare into adjacent properties. Pathway and accent lighting carry most projects; permanent roofline systems are gaining traction on the newer two-stories.
Arnold is the most value-conscious market in our service area, and our designs respect that. We focus the budget where it has the most visual impact — the home façade, the front-yard landscape, the primary entry path — and offer phased plans that spread additional work across multiple years. No oversell, no pressure.
Most Arnold homes are from the postwar suburban boom — ranches, split-levels, traditional 2-stories with brick fronts. We use lighting that complements that era's design language: warm color temperatures, horizontal placements that flatter ranch architecture, and well-placed accents on the brick and stone features common in 1960s-70s construction.
Many Arnold properties sit on or near the Meramec and Mississippi River corridors, often on bluff edges or in flood-zone-adjacent areas. We design with that landscape in mind — fixtures that handle humidity well, placements that respect natural views, and lighting that complements rather than competes with the river-corridor character.
Arnold is known for its strong family character and tight-knit neighborhoods. Our lighting designs respect that — welcoming front-of-home illumination, warm color temperatures, and placements that look beautiful from your own porch and your neighbor's. The goal is for good lighting to enhance the block, not stand out from it.

The work was fairly priced and the materials and workmanship were excellent. We actually rehired them again for even more lighting features.Posted on Google Bradley FisherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hired Landscape Lighting Guys to help with my home lighting system, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I first met Matt while he was preparing a proposal for a large lighting project in our subdivision’s common areas. He took the time to meet with us multiple times, answer questions, and walk through the details of the project. During those meetings, I also had him take a look at my home’s landscape lighting system. Over the years, I had several different companies work on my lighting, and after some recent landscaping work, some wires were cut and pulled out, and fixtures were pulled out of their proper location. My system needed to be reset and repaired. Matt provided a beyond fair and detailed proposal, and his crew got right to work. What impressed me most was that they weren’t interested in taking shortcuts. Tyler and George explained that they could simply reconnect some of the old wiring, but they weren’t comfortable doing that because they couldn’t guarantee the long-term results. Instead, they took the time to trace the system, replace wiring where needed, and correct several issues left behind from previous installations. It was obvious they cared about doing the job correctly rather than just getting it done. The end result is actually better than what I had before. A few simple adjustments to fixture placement and aiming made a huge difference in how the house and landscaping are illuminated at night. The attention to detail was outstanding. Tyler and George were also incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves, polished the fixtures, answered questions, and treated my property like it was their own. That level of service is hard to find these days. I’m also excited that Matt offers maintenance and service plans. One of the biggest challenges with landscape lighting is finding someone who understands your system and can maintain it properly over time. It’s reassuring to know I now have a trusted company that can keep everything looking great for years to come. If you’re looking for a company that values quality, professionalism, and long-term customer relationships, I highly recommend Matt, Tyler, George, and the entire team at Landscape Lighting Guys.Posted on Google Jeff BerzonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We met Matt many years ago when his business was young. His professionalism and dedications were matched by his crew. Years later we used his Company again, after we moved. We were just as impressed. Their suggestions, especially the Bistro Lights over the patio, were spot on. Another great job, And another round of compliments from our neighbors!Posted on Google Sue AckleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did quite a bit of talking with several lighting companies in the beginning. Some didn’t show up for an appointment, one didn’t call back when I asked to make some changes to the bid, so I looked for someone who was honest, had integrity, and listened to what I wanted, but had great ideas as well. The Lighten guys fit the bill perfectly. My house lighten was done in the winter, but I knew I would like to add to it as soon as my garden was in full bloom. Matt came out today and again I was so pleased with his ideas! It’s going to be perfect! Thanks bunches Matt! They performed high quality work that they stand behind. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Julie BuckTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team originally designed and installed our landscape lights in 2021. We were thrilled with his expertise on placement of the lights. The end result turned out great. We still get compliments on our lighting. My favorite part is the yearly check and fix of any issues. His team cleans, checks and repairs lights, wires or any other issue each year. Hassle free for us. Highly recommend this company.Posted on Google Ben LloydTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Huge shout out for the entire team at LLG. I can't recommend them enough. The estimating was simple and clear, pricing was fair and competitive.. and I was blown away with the finished product! Whenever my wife comes home with the kids after baseball practice, she always makes the comment how safe she feels and how lit up our house looks! LLG completely changed the dynamic of my home. THANK YOU!!Posted on Google David KannapelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and the team couldn't have been better to work with. They were able to get us quoted, installed, and supported very quickly and professionally. In addition to the hardware and lights looking great, the professionalism has been above and beyond. Would highly recommend!Posted on Google Timothy RohlmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our lights were installed at least 10 years ago and worked fine except we had some trees removed and some were damaged. Those 3 were replaced and all the others (32) were serviced, cleaned and new bulbs. Excellent work thank you.Posted on Google Coco BloomfieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Prompt, excellent service! So nice to deal with.
