Bring your Fenton home to life after dark.
Fenton has some of the deepest roots in our service area. The city was founded in 1818 by William Lindsey Long, who named it after his Welsh grandmother, Elizabeth Fenton Bennett. Olde Towne Fenton — the historic core of the city — still consists of just eight square blocks, which means a walking tour of Fenton’s earliest history is genuinely doable. The city straddles the Meramec River, with portions in both St. Louis County and Jefferson County.Â
Bridges are a big part of Fenton’s history. The first bridge across the Meramec was built in 1854; the current iteration is the fourth bridge to span the river at Fenton. Gravois Road was originally Fenton’s main street, but with the construction of the 1925 bridge, the road was re-routed around Olde Towne — gradually allowing the city to expand beyond its original eight-block area. Today’s Fenton is a mix of that preserved historic core, established postwar neighborhoods, and newer commercial development along Gravois Bluffs.Â
What makes Fenton a great landscape-lighting market is the architectural diversity. Within the city you’ll find 19th-century historic homes near the original townsite, established 1950s-70s suburban homes, and newer construction in areas like Gravois Bluffs. The Swantner House (built around 1906) anchors the Fenton Historical Society. The oldest house in the original eight blocks of Old Fenton sits at the corner of Main and Ferry. An even older log cabin (owned by the Chott family) is within current city limits.Â
Whether you’re in Olde Towne Fenton, near the Gravois Bluffs commercial corridor, in an established postwar neighborhood, or anywhere along the Meramec River corridor, we’d love to walk your property and design something custom.
Here’s what we design and install across the area:
The Gravois Bluffs commercial corridor and surrounding business parks drive consistent commercial demand alongside residential work.
Fenton's residential neighborhoods feature a mix of home styles, with facade accent work as the most universally applicable service.
newer two-story builds in Fenton's residential subdivisions support permanent roofline systems particularly well.
Fenton’s mixed-use character means lighting projects often span both residential and commercial categories — a single client may own a home and a business in the same city. Residential subdivisions are largely newer builds with consistent architectural character; commercial work runs from small storefronts to corporate parks. Project cycles tend to be more even year-round than purely residential markets.
Olde Towne Fenton has homes dating back to the city's 1818 founding. These historic properties deserve lighting that respects their character — warm color temperatures, low-profile fixtures, and placement strategies that complement period architecture rather than fight it.
Outside Olde Towne, most Fenton homes are from the postwar suburban boom. Ranches, split-levels, and traditional 2-stories on established lots. We design with the era in mind — horizontal accent lighting for ranches, warm-tone façade lighting for brick traditionals, and mature-tree work that uses the established landscaping.
Many Fenton homes sit near or above the Meramec River corridor. We design with the river-adjacent character in mind — fixtures rated for higher humidity, placements that respect natural views, and lighting effects that complement the natural surroundings.
Fenton straddles two counties. We serve the entire city — St. Louis County portions north of the river and Jefferson County portions to the south — with the same quality standards and the same warranty coverage.

The work was fairly priced and the materials and workmanship were excellent. We actually rehired them again for even more lighting features.Posted on Google Bradley FisherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hired Landscape Lighting Guys to help with my home lighting system, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I first met Matt while he was preparing a proposal for a large lighting project in our subdivision’s common areas. He took the time to meet with us multiple times, answer questions, and walk through the details of the project. During those meetings, I also had him take a look at my home’s landscape lighting system. Over the years, I had several different companies work on my lighting, and after some recent landscaping work, some wires were cut and pulled out, and fixtures were pulled out of their proper location. My system needed to be reset and repaired. Matt provided a beyond fair and detailed proposal, and his crew got right to work. What impressed me most was that they weren’t interested in taking shortcuts. Tyler and George explained that they could simply reconnect some of the old wiring, but they weren’t comfortable doing that because they couldn’t guarantee the long-term results. Instead, they took the time to trace the system, replace wiring where needed, and correct several issues left behind from previous installations. It was obvious they cared about doing the job correctly rather than just getting it done. The end result is actually better than what I had before. A few simple adjustments to fixture placement and aiming made a huge difference in how the house and landscaping are illuminated at night. The attention to detail was outstanding. Tyler and George were also incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire process. They cleaned up after themselves, polished the fixtures, answered questions, and treated my property like it was their own. That level of service is hard to find these days. I’m also excited that Matt offers maintenance and service plans. One of the biggest challenges with landscape lighting is finding someone who understands your system and can maintain it properly over time. It’s reassuring to know I now have a trusted company that can keep everything looking great for years to come. If you’re looking for a company that values quality, professionalism, and long-term customer relationships, I highly recommend Matt, Tyler, George, and the entire team at Landscape Lighting Guys.Posted on Google Jeff BerzonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We met Matt many years ago when his business was young. His professionalism and dedications were matched by his crew. Years later we used his Company again, after we moved. We were just as impressed. Their suggestions, especially the Bistro Lights over the patio, were spot on. Another great job, And another round of compliments from our neighbors!Posted on Google Sue AckleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did quite a bit of talking with several lighting companies in the beginning. Some didn’t show up for an appointment, one didn’t call back when I asked to make some changes to the bid, so I looked for someone who was honest, had integrity, and listened to what I wanted, but had great ideas as well. The Lighten guys fit the bill perfectly. My house lighten was done in the winter, but I knew I would like to add to it as soon as my garden was in full bloom. Matt came out today and again I was so pleased with his ideas! It’s going to be perfect! Thanks bunches Matt! They performed high quality work that they stand behind. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Julie BuckTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team originally designed and installed our landscape lights in 2021. We were thrilled with his expertise on placement of the lights. The end result turned out great. We still get compliments on our lighting. My favorite part is the yearly check and fix of any issues. His team cleans, checks and repairs lights, wires or any other issue each year. Hassle free for us. Highly recommend this company.Posted on Google Ben LloydTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Huge shout out for the entire team at LLG. I can't recommend them enough. The estimating was simple and clear, pricing was fair and competitive.. and I was blown away with the finished product! Whenever my wife comes home with the kids after baseball practice, she always makes the comment how safe she feels and how lit up our house looks! LLG completely changed the dynamic of my home. THANK YOU!!Posted on Google David KannapelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and the team couldn't have been better to work with. They were able to get us quoted, installed, and supported very quickly and professionally. In addition to the hardware and lights looking great, the professionalism has been above and beyond. Would highly recommend!Posted on Google Timothy RohlmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our lights were installed at least 10 years ago and worked fine except we had some trees removed and some were damaged. Those 3 were replaced and all the others (32) were serviced, cleaned and new bulbs. Excellent work thank you.Posted on Google Coco BloomfieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Prompt, excellent service! So nice to deal with.
